Biography
Abdulsatar Abduljabbar Sultan is a distinguished lecturer in the Business Management Department at Catholic University in Erbil, where he has been imparting knowledge since 2022. Hailing from Mosul, he embodies academic excellence and dedication. His academic journey commenced at the University of Mosul, where he earned his bachelor's degree in management information systems in 2009. Building upon this foundation, he pursued a master's degree in knowledge management from the same institution in 2012, demonstrating a relentless pursuit of expertise in his field. His academic odyssey culminated in a Ph.D. in Technology Management from the esteemed University Utara Malaysia in 2017.
Abdulsatar's professional repertoire is equally illustrious. For over eight years, he served as a coordinator in the business administration department at the Lebanese French University, exhibiting leadership and managerial prowess. His tenure saw him ascend to the esteemed position of Head of the Department of Health Administration in 2019, a testament to his administrative acumen. Not content with resting on his laurels, he assumed the mantle of Health Department Administration Chair from 2020 to 2021, further solidifying his standing in academia.
Beyond borders, Abdulsatar's expertise found resonance in international academic circles. He shared his insights as a part-time lecturer at Erbil International University and Al-Qalam University from 2018 to 2020, enriching the academic landscape with his erudition. In December 2021, his academic excellence was recognized with a prestigious scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service’s (DAAD)/RESI program. This accolade facilitated a research visit to the Faculty of Spatial Planning at TU Dortmund University in Germany, where he contributed to the global discourse on technology management.
Abdulsatar's commitment to education transcends conventional boundaries. He lent his expertise as a consultant in the Training Unit of the Ministry of Education in Mosul for two years, embodying the spirit of service and knowledge dissemination. His journey came full circle when he joined Catholic University in Erbil in September 2022, assuming the pivotal role of Head of the Department of Business Management.
Notably, Abdulsatar's scholarly contributions extend beyond academia. He proudly represents Iraq as the sole Iraqi member and the first in the Arab-German Young Academy of Science and Humanities (AGYA) since August 2022. His membership underscores his global impact and commitment to advancing scientific collaboration across borders.
