Biography

Michael has an MA Hons French with Linguistics from St Andrews (2004) and the Trinity Cert TESOL (TLI Edinburgh, 2011). He passed the Test of Competence (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, 2006) while with KPMG in Audit and Assurance. He is also a full member of the Institute of Physics (MInstP).

He is most interested in language teaching, particularly the approach taken by Scott Thornbury, and as such has taught students from a wide range of backgrounds in Brunei, the UK and here in Iraq. He has been at the Catholic University in Erbil since 2020, prior to which he was at Soran University since 2013 and a training organisation in the UK from 2010.
