Dr. Omar
Tarzibash is currently a lecturer in the Department of Accounting at the
Catholic University in Erbil. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration
focusing on Accounting from Eastern Mediterranean University, where he also
gained extensive teaching experience in financial accounting, cost accounting,
managerial accounting, production management, microeconomics, and research
methodology. His areas of specialization include financial accounting,
international accounting, research methods, and panel data and time-series
analysis. He has published articles in high-impact journals indexed in
SSCI and SCIE, including Finance Research Letters, the Journal of Corporate
Accounting & Finance, and Environment, Development and Sustainability,
addressing topics such as cash holdings in uncertain environments, accounting
conservatism, XBRL adoption, and financial performance across
industries. He is also experienced in using research and statistical
software, including STATA, EViews, SmartPLS, and SPSS.
