Hello,

My professional interests lie at Corporate Governance, Corporate Finance and Strategic management. I am a senior lecturer at the Catholic University in Erbil. Also, I am a trainer and consultant of Corporate Governance and Business Management as I work as a trainer and consultant with Governance Institute for Directors (GIoD) founded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). I have provided a training & consultancy service to GIZ. Furthermore, I have facilitated a few professional workshops with GIZ, Rwanga Foundation and MSelect.

Also, I am working as a Country Champion - Iraq with Humentum to support and encourage the engagement of relevant stakeholders in Iraq with the development of International Financial Reporting Guidance for Non Profit Organisations through the IFR4NPO project.

Previously, I worked as a Head of the Department of Business Administration affiliated with the College of Administration and Economics at the Lebanese French University, Erbil.

Presently, I have been granted a Research Visiting Fellowship in the Centre for Business Research at Cambridge University. While a CBR visitor I will undertake research on: corporate governance, bank performance and the factors attracting investment in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, using relevant financial, legal and institutional data, and employing time-series econometric methods and related statistical techniques.
