Biography

Mr. Mohamed Yashar Kassas is an experienced English language educator with over +18 years of teaching across university and school settings. He holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and a BA in English Language and Literature from Aleppo University, Syria, as well as a TESOL certificate from Arizona State University, USA.

He currently works as an Assistant Lecturer at the Catholic University in Erbil. His previous teaching roles include positions at Maarif International Schools, Cambridge International Schools, and Aleppo University. His teaching experience covers a range of subjects, including phonetics and phonology, grammar, academic writing, general and applied linguistics, and methods of language teaching.

Mr. Kassas is committed to supporting diverse student needs and integrates educational technology to enhance learning outcomes. He values critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and student engagement in the classroom.

Motivated by the mission of the Catholic University in Erbil to prepare globally minded graduates, Mr. Kassas is dedicated to contributing to its academic community and supporting its educational goals.
